Master's and Doctoral Program Applications

Currently accept applications for master's and doctoral enrollment in Autumn 2027.

Thank you for your interest in applying to the Division of the Social Sciences at the University of Chicago! This application system is used to apply to the following programs at the University of Chicago:

Applications for the Master of Arts in Economics are currently being accepted via UChicago Advanced Scholars. Questions regarding the application should be directed to the Advanced Scholars program at mastersadmisssions@uchicago.edu.  Questions regarding the MAE Program should be directed to Emma Rubenstein, Student Affairs Administrator at ma-econ@uchicago.edu. 

Applicants are welcome to apply to more than one program within the Division of the Social Sciences.

• PhD Programs: December 1
• MA Programs: November 2 (Round 1) , January 7 (Round 2), March 25 (Round 3), June 1 (Round 4, not recommended for individuals requiring a University-sponsored visa due to the time it takes to complete the visa process)
